Chartered in 1934, we are one of the most active civic service organizations in our community, and we have enjoyed a proud legacy of service, not only locally, but around the state as well.

At the LOCAL Level
- The Ellijay Lions Club sponsor various service activities, including
- An annual Veterans Day Celebration.
- Special Friends.
- White Christmas.
- Vision and Hearing Services
- Some of our fundraising efforts include the County Fair, Georgia Apple Festival, Bucket Brigades to benefit the White Christmas Program and a Bucket Brigade to Benefit the Georgia Lions Lighthouse Foundation Eye Surgery Program.
At the STATE Level
- The Ellijay Lions Club also support the statewide Lions projects, which include:
- Georgia Lions Lighthouse Foundation
- Georgia Lions Camp for the Blind
- Athens Unit of Recordings for the Blind and Dyslexic
- In addition, we contribute regularly to the Lions Clubs International Foundation, the grant-making arm of our Association.
At the INTERNATIONAL Level
- Lions are an international network of 1.3 million men and women in 205 countries and geographic areas who work together to answer the needs that challenge communities around the world.
