The Ellijay Lions Club hosts American Red Cross blood drives every other month. Each donation can help save lives in our community and beyond.
There is an Urgent Need for Blood Donors and your donation can save lives now
The Red Cross delivers urgent care and support to people in need, especially when emergencies strike. Right now, patients across hospitals need blood for surgeries, trauma care, cancer treatment, and sudden medical emergencies. When you donate, your blood can help multiple patients, with different medical needs. One visit can make a real difference for someone facing a critical moment. Please give blood and help the Red Cross keep saving lives. The Ellijay Lions Club hosts Blood Drives at our clubhouse every other month, usually on the second Thursday of the month, from 8am - 6pm. See below for exact dates. Please bring your Red Cross blood donor card or other form of positive ID when you come to donate.

Who Can Donate
Most healthy adults are eligible to donate blood. Please review the basic requirements below before your visit.
Weight & Height
Donors must weigh 110 pounds or more, depending on their height, and meet basic height requirements.
Good Health
You should be in generally good health and feeling well on the day of your donation.
Bring Your ID
Please bring your Red Cross blood donor card or another form of positive identification when you come to donate.
