White Christmas

 White Christmas is one of many community projects that the Ellijay Lions Club has supported for many years. White Christmas helps less fortunate parents that live in Gilmer County provide some Christmas for their children. We work with the health department, schools, DFACS, churches and other agencies in order to best serve as many needy families as possible. An application has been developed that is placed with different agencies for parents in need of help, to pick up and fill out, it can be downloaded below and return to the White Christmas committee for review. 

  If the application is approved the committee will purchase a set amount for each child, 15 years and younger living full time in the household. Their items will be bagged for distribution and a distribution date will be established and communicated to our families so they know when and where to pick up. We depend a lot on contributions. We have established a "charities" fund as well as a "White Christmas Bucket Brigade". Club members wearing our yellow vest and carrying white buckets will be stationed in strategic locations around the city for contributions from the public. All of the money goes to purchasing gifts for these families. .

Applications will be taken on Dec. 2nd at 1729 S. Main Street Ellijay, GA from 10 AM to 5 PM
